How a House Burns
A house on fire fires starts small. A spark, a carelessly tossed match, an overturned candle, and any other source of ignition can begin a small fire which left undiscovered or let go, can completely destroy a house in just a short time. The old house shown was used for conducting training room burns throughout the day. The house had windows removed which contributed air to feed the fire. Follow below the sequence of photographs taken every couple of minutes showing how a small fire in the basement can totally engulf a house in flames in a very short time.


Only light smoke showing for almost twenty minutes. Flames became visible through the window, the smoke became thick, and then their was a significant change in the fire. The fire became hotter, and building faster in intensity. Within an hour, there was only burning remains of the house!
